In recognition of the important role parents play in the Fordham University family, the Parent's Program exists to bring together Fordham parents and administrators to work collaboratively on engaging parents in the life of the Fordham community. We at Fordham consider it a privilege to partner with you in your child's education.
The Fordham Parent's Council is a network of parents who are committed to the well-being and advancement of the University. See below for ways to get involved!
Enrollment
- Assist in recruiting students to Fordham by participating in college fairs, or hosting regional parent receptions
- Serve as our ambassadors at welcome events and summer send-off receptions
for new parents and students
- Promote the mission and activities of Fordham among the widest range of
personal and professional contacts and networks
Career Services
- Mentor current students, promoting their academic success and career development
- Provide internships and job placements
- Leverage corporate relationships to create enhanced opportunities for students
Student Leadership
- Act as a conduit for parent opinions, concerns and feedback on all topics
- Foster a fuller relationship between the University and the parents of its students
Development Fundraising
- Show your leadership and support by making a contribution to the Fordham University Parent's
Fund or to another area of the University, such as your child's school/college or sports team
- Recommend strategies for the cultivation and solicitation of gifts from parents
- Encourage other parents to donate and/or volunteer
- A minimum annual contribution of $5,000 is suggested for council members
