The Office of the Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Currently Vice President and CIO for Fordham University in New York, Frank Sirianni has provided leadership for more than 20 years improving the organization’s competitive position by pioneering innovative human and technical systems.
Before coming to Fordham, Frank led a technology renewal program at the Fashion Institute of Technology including establishing a model governance program for technology investments. Prior to that, Frank also pioneered the first IT organization at St. John’s University, turning it into a major enabler of new technologies. |

Since arriving at Fordham, Frank initiated an IT Planning and Improvement Program which resulted in the Fordham IT Mission, Vision and strategic initiatives aligning with the University Strategic Plan, Toward 2016.
Our strategic initiatives and what they mean to the Fordham community:
Operational Readiness – to ensure the University’s technological infrastructure is flexible, reliable and ready for all current and future technology needs.
University Resources – to promote customer relations and ensure we are all connected in our expanding definition of smart classrooms and digital learning spaces; this relates to ubiquity, mobility and flexibility.
Enterprise Application Integration – to ensure our administrative systems are fully integrated, enable easier access to information, improve the accuracy of information and facilitate management reporting. Additionally, this includes our new portal, My.Fordham.edu, a single, personal, web-based point of entry and community for all members of the University to access Fordham’s information resources.
Organizational Excellence – focuses on professional development to ensure up-to-date skills for staff members. Additionally, focusing on Governance and Project Management to ensure the University is appropriately investing its IT dollars and that Fordham IT is consequently monitoring, measuring and communicating project details to its constituents.
Data Centers & Risk Management – for all the above to work, we need state-of-the-art data centers, contingency planning, privacy and security
