“Although it was founded just four years ago, the President’s Council has
already had a remarkable impact on the life and mission of the University.
Through its support of the Founder’s Dinner, it has enabled the University
to build endowments to support our Presidential Scholarships Program; through
its Executive-in-Residence Program, it has enabled our students to interact
with and learn from some of our most accomplished alumni; and through its
networking events, it has enabled our students to meet and learn from wise
and loving mentors. On the basis of its proven record of achievement, I
am confident that in the coming years the Council will raise the University’s
profile in the wider world and boost our alumni’s pride in their Alma Mater,
and thus enable us to realize the ambitious dreams that we have for Fordham.”

The 2008 Fordham Founder’s Award Dinner
The evening of Monday, 31 March 2008 marked the seventh annual Fordham Founder’s Award Dinner, a celebration of our University, our honorees and of the students who benefit from your generosity. Striving to build on our Fordham Founder’s Presidential Scholarship fund and continue to recruit talented young people to Fordham, we launched the President’s Circle table with a donation of $75,000. Other levels of participation included: Founder’s Circle table/$50,000; Benefactor’s Circle table/$25,000; Patron’s Circle table/$10,000. Due to your support and collaboration we raised $2.4 million at the Waldorf=Astoria gala on Monday, 31 March 2008. |
