Undergraduate: Arts and Sciences
 
      New York City Summer Internship Program
 
The Summer in the City New York Internship Program is a directed 8-10 week summer program, beginning June 1, open to a select group of visiting college and university students of good standing. Earn 4 internship credits (SOEU 4900) while working and participating in a seminar with other interning students. Students who register and deposit by our Spring deadline will be assisted in applying for and securing internship placements in business, finance, marketing, media, advertising, public relations, art, theater, government, non-profits, human resources, and more. Program participants may choose to live in our Lincoln Center residence hall, in the cultural heart of Manhattan. For more information about internships, email summerintern@fordham.edu.


 
      Summer Actors Workshop
 
This is a unique program designed to enrich actors seeking to vitalize and hone their performance abilities. From Tuesday, June 1 through Thursday, July 1, 2010, college actors are invited to Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus in New York City as part of the Fordham Summer Actors Workshop.


 
      Pre-College Program
 
Fordham's Pre-College Summer Program is an excellent opportunity for serious students to get a head start on their post-high school academic careers by taking a college course for credit, with the additional option of attending special free workshops preparing for the college admission and application process. Qualified high school students may apply to enroll in selected Fordham second session summer courses (July 6 - August 5). This is a commuter program (no housing available), open to mature students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better, who will be entering their senior year of high school in Fall 2010.       Sports Communication Institute
 
This summer spend two exciting weeks in the world of sports communication at Fordham University's tenth annual Sports Communication Institute. Earn four credits (CMRU 3350) while gaining hands-on experience in the art of sports writing, broadcasting, sports marketing, and effective sports public relations planning with two instructors and several professional guest speakers from sports business and media. Leave the classroom for field trips with behind-the-scenes views of professional sports media. Please refer to the Course Schedule for additional information.
 
      Applied Business Communication
 
Students who have taken a Business Communication course are eligible to take this special advanced two-week program for emerging professionals, designed by our College of Business Administration. Earning three credits, students meet in the morning and afternoon to learn and put into practice related skills that matter most in the professional workplace.       FCLS Summer Courses Westchester Campus
 
FCLS will offer courses at our Westchester campus in the 2010 Summer Session. Most courses will be scheduled over 7 alternating weekends from May through August. Intensive Workshop courses will be held in more abbreviated formats. Courses range from Information Systems to English, Corporate Training to Psychology, and much more.       Theories and Applications in Contemporary Ethics
 
CEGA 6100 Theories and Applications in Contemporary Ethics

This intensive three-day course is designed to provide cross-disciplinary perspectives on moral theory and applied ethics. Using a team-teaching approach, this course will bring together faculty from at least six different disciplines to provide foundational knowledge about moral theory with contemporary applications. In addition to seminars on foundations in moral philosophy, moral theology, and moral psychology the course will feature lectures and case discussions on issues of current social importance. Enrollment is competitive and students must be nominated by a faculty member. If selected, students will be invited to register for the course. All participants will receive tuition remission.       Emerging Markets and Country Risk Analysis
 
New York City Summer Certificate Program Offered by the Fordham Program in International Political Economy and Development, this is the only New York State recognized summer program of its kind.       Institute of American Language and Culture
 
The Institute of American Language and Culture (IALC), located on the Lincoln Center campus, offers part-time and intensive English courses for non-native speakers interested in improving their English language skills for social, professional, or academic purposes. Courses are available from beginning through university preparation levels. American culture is an essential component of each class. The IALC offers highly qualified and experienced faculty, limited class size, access to the University's audio-video language laborator , and supplemental grammar and TOEFL workshops for registered students.       Graduate School of Religion & Religious Education
 
The Rose Hill campus is an ideal setting for learning, reflection, and prayer. All of the courses in Summer Session I and II are offered for graduate credit or can be taken for audit.
