If your cumulative GPA is 3.7 or higher, you may be eligible for one or more of the major external prestigious fellowship award programs. In addition to an outstanding academic record, prestigious fellowship applicants distinguish themselves in other ways:
►Significant intellectual and innovative independent projects, supervised research,
or internships ►Strong evidence of leadership potential and community or public service ►Compelling and comprehensive faculty letters of recommendation ►The support and official endorsement of the University through the Office for
Prestigious Fellowships
If you are interested in applying for any of the major award programs, our Office can help guide you through the application process. The Office for Prestigious Fellowships prepares students for a broad range of external scholarships and fellowship competitions, including the Truman, Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Goldwater, James Madison, and Ford fellowships, as well as the National Security Education Program (NSEP) and National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, among many others.
